Functions

1. Draft related regulations of concentrations of undertakings and formulate supporting provisions and documents;

2.To take anti-monopoly review on concentrations of undertakings according to law; to be responsible for anti-monopoly consultations and applications of concentrations of undertakings, and take related hearings, investigation and review;

3.To accept and investigate into cases on concentrations of undertakings reported by anti-monopoly enforcement authorities, investigate and deal with violations;

4.To take charge of investigation into monopoly in foreign trade and take measures in a bid to eliminate damage;

5.To provide guidance to domestic enterprises appearing to anti-monopoly litigations overseas;

6.To organize consultations and negotiations on competition clauses of multilateral and bilateral agreements;

7.To be responsible for international exchanges and cooperation on multilateral and bilateral competition policies;

8.To undertake the specific work of the Anti-monopoly Committee of the State Council;

9.To undertake other assignments given by leaders.
